Cake for a great cause at Group First House charity bake sale

Everyone is welcome to come along to Group First House on Shuttleworth Mead in Padiham, next Wednesday, 13 December, to tuck into some delicious cakes for a great cause.

Baking whizz Kate Thornber, who works in our finance department, will be whipping up a host of sweet treats to raise money for Farleigh Hospice. Kate runs her own baking business, Cupkate's Clitheroe, outside of work. So there's guaranteed to be plenty of delights to tempt Wednesday workers.

Next April, Kate's mum and sister-in-law will be taking part in the London Marathon. They will be raising money for Farleigh Hospice. As they need to raise £6000 in total, the bake sale is one of many fundraising events planned by the family.

All the money raised from Kate's cake sale will go to Farleigh Hospice in Essex. It provides hospice care to people affected by life-limiting illnesses, as well as support for families and carers.
