Inside Business First: Aqua IT Support

We sat down with Managing Director, David Monaghan, of Aqua IT Support, to find out more.

What does Aqua IT Support do?

“We provide Microsoft & Apple iOS support for SMEs.”

How did you hear about Business First offices in Glasgow?

“We were looking for new premises, a few years ago, and happened to see some roadside signage for the Business First office complex, in Paisley, near Glasgow. We thought ‘why not go and have a look?’ so we did, and we were impressed enough to move in.”

Why did you decide to operate from Business First’s offices in Glasgow, and when did you move in?

“It was January 2015, when we moved in. We have a 650 sq. ft. office space.

“I decided to base Aqua out of the Business First centre because both the quality and location of the building are perfect for us. It offers everything we need, in state-of-the-art offices, that are in a fantastic location.”

What benefits do you get from operating from Business First?

“Well, there are a fair few, to be honest – all of which I could have used to answer your last question.

“Deliveries can be taken and signed for by the Centre Manager if none of us is around to take them ourselves. The security is really, really good – both in terms of the fact that there is always someone in the building during office hours, even if none of us is there, and the 24-hour CCTV monitoring etc.

“The fact that the Centre Manager is so professional and so friendly is a real bonus, as it’s her that will greet any clients or other visitors we have. I can always be sure that she is making an excellent first impression on our behalf.

“There’s plenty of free parking – for my staff, my visitors and myself, which may sound arbitrary, but it is a massive bonus for us. The facilities are fantastic, there’s a free-to-use gym. I could go on and on…”

Do you make use of the free facilities at Business First?

“The short answer is, ‘yes’.

“We use the boardrooms regularly, the kitchen is always stocked with beverages etc, the client greeting and delivery taking, I’ve already mentioned. It’s all a real benefit to being based here.”

How has Business First helped you to run your business successfully?

“By providing a high class, professional service in a secure building of fantastic quality. It’s also really easy to up and down-size our office space, should we ever need to.”

What would you say the best thing that Business First has done for Aqua IT Support is?

“As a new start-up business, when we moved in, Business First was a massive contributor in me being able to present a high class, professional image to my clients. That alone is worth its weight in gold.”

Would you recommend Business First to other SMEs?

“Yes, most definitely!”

What’s next for Aqua IT Support?

“Well, with the steady increase in business we’ve been doing since becoming a tenant at Business First’s offices in Glasgow, we’re growing, so I’m going to have to take on more staff to handle the increase in work, and resultantly, I’ll likely have to get a bigger office at some point, too.”
