Inside Business First: L.E.A Building Services Ltd

Business First is home to hundreds of businesses of different sizes across a variety of different industries, all of whom make Business First their home as our business centres, service levels and facilities enable them to fit their work around their lifestyles and business needs.

L.E.A Building Services Ltd has called Block A, of Business First's twin business centres in Speke, Liverpool, its home since 2012. L.E.A are an independent building maintenance company, who provide both reactive and predictive maintenance and facilities management services throughout Merseyside and nationwide. Their services include: plumbing; heating; gas; drainage; plastering; joinery; building maintenance; and various other facilities maintenance services.

As part of our Inside Business First series, we had a chat with Martin Mak, Office Manager at L.E.A Building Services Ltd, to see how business is going and find out more about why they chose to, and continue to, base themselves from Business First’s Liverpool office complex.

How did you hear about Business First offices in Liverpool?

“We initially were looking for a new base for our operation and happened to get talking to a company that was already a tenant at the Business First offices in Liverpool.

“We happened to mention we were looking to move from the offices we were in at the time, they mentioned Business First’s offices, here in Speke. We decided to go and have a look around. We were really impressed by the standard of the offices and the free-to-use facilities that are included as standard in our package. The rest, as they say, is history.”

So how long have you been here?

“We’ve been here for a while, now. Nearly five years, in fact.

“We love it. The offices are state-of-the-art – we have a 500 sq ft unit –, the facilities are fantastic. There is more than enough parking – and it’s free; there aren’t many offices in Liverpool that offer that benefit! And possibly most importantly, for us anyway, the Centre Manager, Adele, is brilliant. She’s a consummate professional and is always happy to help with anything we might need.”

Which of our facilities are most important to you and your business?

“As I mentioned, the free parking is a massive plus, for us. But also, the boardroom and meeting room facilities are a real positive, as well. They enable us to bring clients and prospective business in for meetings in a professional environment, without us needing to shell out for our own boardroom.”

How has Business First helped to support your growth?

“By basing our business in Business First’s Liverpool office space, we’ve been able to centralise our operations to this location. It’s also given us excellent flexibility; we know we have the ability to up-size as the business grows.

“Not only that, but being based in the Business First office centre gives us an excellent image and first impression to present to our clients. It’s impossible to look anything other than professional and successful based in offices like these. Image portrayal is definitely one of the biggest bonuses as far as we’re concerned.”
