This week, Inside Business First caught up with Business First’s Liverpool Business Centre tenants, Welton Media Ltd, to find out all about who they are, what they do and why they chose to operate from Business First, Liverpool.

We sat down with Production and Accounts Manager of Welton Media Ltd, Aimee-Jo Lang, to find out more.

What does Welton Media Ltd do?

“We’re a video, web and graphic design and creative media company, specialising in marketing.”

How did you hear about Business First?

“When we were first looking for new premises, a friend of mine was already leasing here, so I added Business First to the list of premises that I would take a tour of.”

Why did you decide to operate your business from Business First’s offices in Liverpool?

“I visited many different properties and Business First’s Liverpool office space was not only the best-looking facility but also had the most competitive prices.

“We work with clients all around the country so easy access to motorways and into the city centre is what also appealed to us. The new, fresh and professional look of the buildings was also a major selling point as it helps to present our business in a positive and professional fashion.”

How long have you been at Business First, Liverpool and how big is your office?

“We first moved into our office in Business First, Liverpool, in May 2012.

“We originally rented a 250 sq ft office space, but as our business grew, we needed more space and more designated work stations for the different parts of the business. In January 2016, we moved into the office we currently occupy, which is 500 sq ft. The difference this has made to how we operate our business is phenomenal.”

What benefits do you get from operating from Business First?

“We have somebody on reception to meet and greet our clients and guests, there is somebody who can take our deliveries, we don’t have extras to pay for such as buildings insurance and maintenance costs, as they’re included within our rent. It’s just the one payment each month and we can rest assured our business space is looked after.

“And then on top of all this, is the free-parking, the free use of boardrooms and conference rooms, the free gym, the option to use hotpods or meeting rooms at any of the other Business First centres, should we need to. The list of benefits to working here is really impressive.”

Do you use the free facilities at Business First?

“We use the conference rooms and meeting rooms quite a lot. They are great spaces to hold meetings with our clients.”

How has Business First helped you to run your business successfully?

“We wouldn’t go anywhere else!

“Our entire business culture has been born and developed here, it just wouldn’t be the same if our offices were based somewhere else in Liverpool. We just couldn’t leave!”

What would you say is the best thing that Business First has done for your business?

“The fees are manageable, which has helped our business grow steadily and organically.

“But more importantly, Business First looks after its tenants. The staff, right down from the director, Sarah, to the staff in the centre value our opinions and are always working to improve – not that any improvement is needed – things for not only us, but for all of the tenants who rent from them.”

And finally, would you recommend Business First’s offices in Liverpool to other SMEs?

“Without a doubt! Business First should be the first port of call for any new or existing business wanting to grow in an environment of likeminded business owners who just want to keep building.”
