I'm Jack Garriock and I’m Centre Manager at one of Business First’s Liverpool business centres.

Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve had?

I worked in a football facility in Sydney for a year, it was more the change in lifestyle that made it interesting not the job itself.

If you could swap jobs with one person in the company, who would it be and why?

It would have to be the owner of Business First - I don’t know everyone yet, but who doesn’t want to be their own boss and own their own business?

What three words do you think best describe Business First?

Professional, attentive and customer-oriented.

What three words do you think best describe you?

Approachable, loyal and motivated.

What’s the weirdest or most challenging thing you’ve ever had to do here?

I’ve not really had anything come up yet so I’ll have to see what happens!

What’s your favourite film?

This constantly changes but one film I can always watch is True Romance. The opening music is alone makes it worth a watch.

What’s your proudest moment at Business First so far?

This is only my third week in the job but getting a new tenant and a tenant renewal has been great.

What is an interesting, random fact about yourself?

I’ve lived in Sydney.

Do you have a work nickname?

No nickname but no one can say my surname properly.

What’s your most embarrassing moment at work?

Once slipped outside my work on ice walking towards the doors.

What’s your favourite place to travel to?

Greece, I haven’t been for a while but it was a destination I’d always visit as a child with family. The best place being Stoupa.

How do you define success?

Achieving your personal goals and ambitions, whatever they may be.

If a film was made of your life, who would you want to play you and why?

Leonardo DiCaprio can play any role.

If you could be any person in history for a day, who would it be and why?

Diego Maradona, only because of his life.

If you could interview any person in history, who would it be and why?

Clint Eastwood - he’s been my favourite actor for years.

If you could only drink one drink for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

After jumping on the gin bandwagon while in Australia I’d have to say Ink gin and tonic, best-tasting gin I’ve had.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

My mum’s chilli.

If you could be an animal for a day, what animal would you be and why?

My dog - to know what she actually thought about me and everyone else!

If you were stuck on an island and could only take three things with you, what would they be and why?

My girlfriend will be coming over with me, a football and an axe.

Tell us something about yourself that people would be surprised to know.

I’d never lived out of my home before moving to Australia at 26 years old……

Tell us a little about you and your family.

I live at my mum’s house with my girlfriend while we save for our own. I’ve got a brilliant nephew who’s just turned 2. My surname is from the Shetland Island in Scotland and I’ve traced the family back to the 1600s.

Who is your idol and why?

Don’t really have one. My brother, parents and grandparents are who I’ve always looked up to.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Binge watching TV series.

What’s your favourite TV show?

I watch plenty but probably Justified, Luther & The Wire in no particular order.

What’s the oldest thing in your fridge?

Not sure, it’s always being emptied.

Do you play any hobbies?

Playing football and going the cinema.

Do you have any weird phobias?

Not really phobias but I can’t stand the noise and feel of Styrofoam when it’s being pulled from cardboard or broken!

If you could choose only one superpower, what superpower would you choose?
